Hydraulic vertical shores present a quick and easy way to protect a trench, while providing proactive protection against a trench collapse.  The requirement for active prevention of a cave-in or soil collapse has become increasingly common for state projects and hydraulic vertical shores satisfies the requirement.

A hydraulic vertical shoring system is an extremely versatile protective system.  The system works well when faced with crossing utilities as the hydraulic vertical shores can be positioned around the utility, while still providing protection against a soil collapse.  Hydraulic vertical shores are able to work around existing utilities in places that no other system can due to the system’s flexibility.

Hydraulic vertical shores are extremely lightweight and can easily be installed by one person.  Common sizes range from 17 inches to 15 feet with larger sizes available.  Typical tabulated data allows the system to shore depths up to 25 feet without site specific engineering.

Typical applications for hydraulic vertical shoring include crossing utilities, tight quarters, foundations and trenches with imposed loads, such as roadsides, spoil piles, cranes and heavy equipment in general.

Coble Trench Safety is pleased to rent and sell the following brands: Cerda Industries, Efficiency, Pacific Shoring & Speed Shore.
