The Specifics

The jobsite was also clear of adjacent structures that would place additional pressure upon the excavation, as well as structural integrity concerns.

The Scenario
The job was a standard application with very little problematic details. The lack of adjacent structures and the depth added no additional needs to the fact the contractor would need variable widths at different points in the excavation.

The Solution
The contractor called Coble Trench Safety and consulted with the staff to discuss the job. The contractor knew it wanted a hydraulic aluminum shoring shield and only needed to determine the availability and that a punctual delivery could be arranged. The contractor combined the aluminum shoring shield with end panel kits to close the ends of the shoring shield and provide a four-sided enclosure. The aluminum shoring shield worked well for this application, as it provided a lightweight system that was easy to move and that could shore a variety of widths with the supplied adjustable hydraulic spreaders.
