The
Scenario
The primary concern with this project would be an
adjacent roadway. The adjacent roadway
presented a safety concern for workers working on
the repair project that would need to be addressed
through traffic control, while also ensuring that
the workers had a stout protective system to help
prevent incidents.
The
Solution
The contractor had phoned Teddy Phillips requesting
equipment for the upcoming project. Teddy met
with the contractor to help assist with the
selection and delivery of a shoring system.
The contractor wanted to use a lightweight system
for the project and had selected aluminum trench
shields. The aluminum trench boxes would
provide the
necessary soil support and work within the working
loads of equipment on-site. Aluminum trench
boxes are flexible in that they can accommodate
hydraulic or static struts to provide the necessary
protection for an excavation.
The contractor was very satisfied with Teddy's
desire to work with them on the project and to build
a relationship that would allow for increased
communication on future projects.
